Austin’s Shrapnel Returns To Stage
After Nearly Six Months Work Replacing Stolen Gear

AUSTIN: In the early morning hours of Sunday, December 31, 2006, Austin’s Shrapnel had their trailer broken into and all of their gear stolen (see the end of this message for a list of gear if interested).

Since the band is uncompromising in the quality of music they present onstage, it has taken nearly six months of work, borrowed money and loans to get the band stage-ready again. The band was forced to sideline the production and release of their sophomore effort as well as tour plans in support of that record.

In spite of it all, Shrapnel's trademark unyielding determination to persevere brings them to triumph over soul crushing circumstances. This Saturday, twin brothers Evan (guitar) and Aaron Canady (vocals/guitar) along with Greg Stewart (drums) and Gustavo Calderon (bass) will step onto a stage for the first time in 2007.

Shrapnel marks their return on May 26, 2007 at 11:15p.m. on Day 2 of the May Metal Mayhem Fest at Red 7, located at 611 E. 7th St in Austin, TX.

The full line-up for May Metal Mayhem can be found on the INsite’s MySpace Page. http://www.myspace.com/insiteaustin
