NO DIVING - Five Mile Dam in San Marcos
Anyone want to go for a swim? Seems that drought has caused San Marcos' Five Mile Dam to dry up.
I was out there today and I was shocked... I snapped this shot.
If you click the photo you'll go to a site that has a photo of what Five Mile Dam usually looks like.

Thanks for the heads up on five mile dam. My family had planned to drop in on our way from Dallas to San Antonio.
I'm working on a story about how the drought has effected this area. If there's any way you can e-mail me (seanclaes@seanclaes.com) in the next day or so (before Wednesday August 2) for a quote or two, I'd appreciate it.
The above request goes to anyone who could be able to give me a quick quote. Thanks!
Thank you for making that information available to those interested. We've been going there for 6 years to swim and fish and now that we've moved it's hard to keep up with the river's status. We were planning on going this weekend, so thanks for letting us all know

No problem. Glad I could be of some service.

Hello! Please see my post on Texas RV Travel blog in which I used your picture and credited your blog.
You will be happy to see the pictures of the Blanco flowing over the dam! Yahoo!
